Cam Woolnough

Aka: Hey you or Dad
Hometown: Calgary, Alberta
Hobbies: Skiing, Flyfishing, Sailing
Home Hill: Norquay
Favorite Hill: Castle Mountain
Best Crash: My Last Super G ever, at Nakiska. I misjudged the final pitch on Legacy and popped rather than pre-jumped and went a mile, landed on the transition, slid through the finish, the finish area, the cheese grater with all of the nicely stacked bibs and stopped about 5 feet in front of my mom watching on the deck of the rental shop!
Only words for that were "Hi Mom"
Best Coaching Memory: Coaching with the entire Quikies + Group a couple of years ago in the chutes in the back of Castle Mountain, and I was watching the entire group of about 30 kids ripping down the chute. I had 2 locals come up to me and say that we were the best group of younger skies they had ever seen, and that there were few adults that could storm down the chutes in better fashion.

Pet Peeve on the Hill: People stopping and standing in the middle of the run instead of on the sides.
Favorite Coaching Moment:
1) When this little girl I was coaching wasn't able to one ski. So, after the hill closed, she hiked up the hill and tried it again, to come back to me the next day with the biggest smile on her face, saying "Can we one Ski? I can do it now!"
2) Everytime an athlete having trouble, while working on something, finally gets it and looks at me with a huge smile and stars in his eyes, like he couldn't be happier.
